Iittala / Gaissa Old Fashioned 22cl 2pc (Mouth-blown)

From creating sculptures to banknotes, designer Tapio Wirkkala was a multi-talented artist. But it was glass that most interested this pioneer of modern Finnish industrial art. He worked closely with the Iittala glassblowers throughout his career, producing hundreds of pieces together. Wirkkala’s Gaissa collection was inspired by his love of Arctic nature. The rocky bottoms and thin walls of the drinkware reflect ice formations and flowing water. The mouthblown, classical glassware combines Nordic design with clarity and function. The Gaissa old-fashioned set has a solid base and perfect balance making it smooth to hold and handle. The smaller size makes it ideal for serving fine liquors. Mouthblown in Finland.
